Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using Site-Shot ("we", "us", "our"), including the free browser demo, the API, and the dashboard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. The Service
Site-Shot provides an automated website screenshot engine, accessible through a free browser-based demo and a paid REST API, allowing you to capture web pages as PNG or JPEG images with configurable viewport, resolution, format, and rendering options.
3. Account Registration
To use the API beyond the free demo, you must create an account and obtain an API key. You are responsible for keeping your API key confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your key has been compromised.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Site-Shot to:
- Capture, store, or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or that violates the rights of any third party;
- Circumvent paywalls, authentication systems, or rate limits of third-party websites;
- Overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our infrastructure;
- Use the service to build a competing screenshot API by reselling raw access to our engine.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy without prior notice.
5. Free Demo Limits
The free, no-signup browser demo is limited to a fixed number of screenshots per visitor, as displayed on the homepage. This limit may change at any time without notice.
6. Plans, Billing and Cancellation
Paid plans are billed monthly through PayPal and include a fixed number of screenshots per month. Usage beyond the included quota may be billed at the per-screenshot overage rate shown on the Pricing page. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard; access remains active until the end of the current billing cycle.
7. Service Availability
We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages, or force majeure events may temporarily affect availability.
8. Intellectual Property
Site-Shot, its logo, and underlying software remain our property. Screenshots you generate through the service belong to you, subject to the rights of the original website owners whose pages you capture.
9. Limitation of Liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Site-Shot shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the service.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page.
11. Contact
